- Feb. 12th 2009
So, after a hectic 2008 which saw us undertake several tours throughout the UK and Europe, and play some killer festival slots at Roadburn and Damnation amongst others, it is time to focus on the creative once again. While also enjoying some family time, we shall undertake writing for Taint album No. 3.
In the meantime though, we're aiming to release a four song E.P for the summer/autumn season, and playing select shows, festival slots and quite possibly an autumn tour around it. So, we shall not be disappearing by any stretch of the imagination. The E.P is as yet untitled and will feature four brand new songs.
We've also updated our merch page with some new designs. Check 'em out.
- Sept. 16th 2008

Little did I know, as a 17 year old and just starting this band, what would be up ahead of us. I didn't know how long we'd last, where we'd take the band or who we'd end up playing gigs with. One thing I did know, or feel, was that it is a part of me. Maybe I should've known that I'd still be doing it when I'm 30 years old, but at 17, you don't tend to project that far. If you do, I think it's fair to say that most of us would be likely to assume that we'll surrender to convention, 'normality' and the daily grind. Well, as 30-somethings, we have accepted a certain part of convention into our lives, in as much as we have rent to pay, and food to put in our belly, and have to work to do so. The constant juggling of this band, and our working lives has put us through some damn testing times, sometimes to the point where everything, and I mean everything has been put under the magnifying glass, and questioned rigorously. Strain has been put on our relationships as a band, and other external relationships, to the point where it could've been easier to just walk away and forget the whole thing. Like any relationship though, you have to commit, adapt, evolve and try your best to see the good over the bad. So, throughout unstable and dark times, we've held on to what is essentially our life's art. And while we're not rewarded with record-breaking album sales, hype du jour, and the riches of rock stardom, we're constantly rewarded with something far more dear to our hearts. After all, we never got into this game for anything else. And that thing is, the opportunity to play not only with kindred spirits and new friends that we never thought we'd meet, but also with our heroes. The chance to meet, play with and immerse ourselves in the bands that we grew up listening to. For them to take stock of what we're doing, and for us to continue to learn from them, in a way never before realized. That is the reward. That is the reward that makes all of this toil and trouble, tumultuous pleasure and pain, absolutely, positively, fucking worth it.
And so, with pleasure, I can announce that not only are we touring with our heroes Clutch once again, aswell as having the privelage to open a show for Neurosis, but we'll also be joining Carcass for their only U.k show this year.

Back online
Ok, so taint.co.uk is back in action. As I'm sure all of you can relate - the ease of the infamous Myspace has meant our beloved site has taken somewhat of a back-seat lately. However, no more! Jimbob's schedule has allowed for some 'spare' time (ahem), the fruits of which you're looking at and coveting, most royally, as we speak. The news will be kept up to date, and other relevent content currently being added to each section. Look at this page as the 'quality' version of our Myspace, where select pieces of images and other media will be added. Let's hope this baby doesn't get hijacked and flagrantly ripped off by our new plagiarist/terrorist friends (not sure what we're talking about? check out our Myspace blog from May 10th)
Jan/Feb UK Tour Announced
Got to shows page.
Secrets And Lies
As you may know, 'Secrets And Lies' had it's Uk/Europe release in October, and has been recieved very well for the most part. Rocksound Magazine (Uk) gave it 'Album Of The Month', while other rags Terrorizer, Kerrang, Metal Hammer and Zero Tolerance also gave pleasantly warm responses. You can see more reviews at the media page. All our American friends can expect the U.S release in Feb, through Candlelight.
After 2007's outings with Clutch and other great bands, we're happy to announce some more killer road-action for 2008. We'll be heading out with the likes of Baroness, Kylesa, Art Of Burning Water and Ken Mode in Feb/Mar/Apr. We've also been invited to play the Roadburn '08 in Holland, joining Celtic Frost, Isis, Capricorns, Trouble, Witchcraft and Scott Kelly amongst others. Look out for European tour dates imminently.
Check out the shows page for more details.

Autumn news!
Appologies for the lack of recent updates. We've been busy with the band and lives for the past coupla months, and I hate to admit it, but our myspace page is easier to update.
SO, the shows with Mondo Generator were fun, our slot at Ieperfest in Belgium was fun, the recent shows in Wales were great, the video shoot for 'Drunken Marksman' was also fun and should be in post-production in the next few weeks. Yes, there was swords, guns and blood. Killer.
We're getting ready for a show in Cardiff with Baroness and Torche on Oct. 25th and then shows in Bristol, Athens and Thessaloniki in November. Yes, we're going to GREECE! We can't wait to sink a few Gyros with all you MALAKAS! Check shows page for more details.
Then, we're going to carry on writing for the next album. We have 7 songs so far, and are happy that the material is a definate progression from 'Roma'. Some song titles are 'Barnstorn Zombie Revival', 'Mass Appeal Sadness' and 'Goddamn This City'.
Check out our myspace page for some recent photos, and for all the lovely things people have to say about us. www.myspace.com/taintuk

Back from tour, more shows this summer
Hi all, we're back from tour (a few weeks ago now actually) and all is good. We had a killer time in Europe with our new bros Blutch and got devastated everynight with our partners in crime Knut.
The Uk was fun too, and we have to thank all the great individuals who helped us in hours of need. Our bacon was saved. Thanks Skywalker, Doris, Julien, Dave, and to everyone who put us up. To read the eventful blog go here - Taint tour blog
There will be loads of additions to the photo/video page very soon. Once all footage has been gathered.
We're hitting a few festivals this year, which is pretty damn mindblowing (re: Hellfest). We're joinging some incredible bands, and will inevitably return home drunk and sun-burnt. There may be some more Uk dates announced soon, so keep your eyes peeled. Check out the shows page for more details.
